CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Full- time M-F

Coordinate hospital’s general accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and central cash services as directed. May assume administrative responsibility for the hospital operation in the absence of the CEO.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Devise and recommend new or modified accounting systems to provide complete and accurate financial and statistical reports. Coordinate and supervise the entire posting, billing and collection operation insuring that the accounts receivable records meet the standards established by administration. Coordinate the admission office functions with accounts receivable, credit and collections.
  • Maintain appropriate internal control safeguards over account receivable records and collection of cash.
  • Maintain and reconcile detail accounts receivable to general ledger controls. Insure proper calculations of receivables on balance sheet (includes establishment of appropriate reserve requirements for third party allowances and bad debts).
  • Review, interpret and analyze financial and statistical data for administration and department heads.
  • Insure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, and insure adherence to state and federal policies, procedures rules and regulations as applicable.
  • Plan, coordinate and prepare for year-end audits by public accounting firm. Ascertain that the properties of the hospital are properly accounted for and reconciled.
  • Inform administration of the hospital’s financial operations. Insure that all financial transactions covered by minutes of the Board of Trustees and/or hospital administration are properly executed and recorded. Work with staff members on reimbursement, budget and accounts receivable issues.
  • Participate in development of department goals and organization structure. Select, orient/train and provide overall supervision of assigned personnel; develop, recommend and implement operating policies, systems and procedures, review and evaluate personnel performance.
  • Oversee the planning, control and effective utilization of the financial recourses of the hospital.
  • Answer calls and correspondence on related accounts.
  • Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
  • Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • Attend in-services and required meetings.
  • Maintain required records, reports, and files.
  • Assist with auditors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    Bachelor degree or equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or Health Care Administration. Sufficient previous experience in comprehensive accounting with supervisory responsibility. Demonstrated ability in financial and operational systems, and familiarity with data processing systems. Medicare Cost Report experience is desirable.




    Dietary
    Dietary Aide: Full-time 6A-2P and 10:30A-7P, days off vary. Abilities needed: read and follow menu and tray cards. Follow State and Federal guidelines. Must be neat and clean at all times. Must get Missouri Food Handlers card- by 30 days after employment. Job duties include, read tray ticket, set up tray line, do dishes, take meal carts to patients, answer telephone and take special orders to patients. Will train.

    Cook: Full-time, 6A-2P or 11A-7P, days off will vary, must work every other weekend. High school diploma or GED required. Write clearly and communicate effectively. Requires standing and walking on hard surface for a long periods of time. Job duties include, Meal preparation for patients and cafeteria, serving meals. Pre prep for next day menu. Clean area and other cleaning as assigned. Previous experience required.




    Emergency Department
    Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7A-7P. Current Missouri License, ACLS, CPR. Good leadership skills, some computer skills, good critical thinking and ability to make quick decisions. Job duties include, triage of patients, assessments, assist Physician with procedures, administer medications, start IV's, documentation, begin emergency procedures as needed.

    Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7P-7A. Current Missouri License, ACLS, CPR. Good leadership skills, some computer skills, good critical thinking and ability to make quick decisions. Job duties include, triage of patients, assessments, assist Physician with procedures, administer medications, start IV's, documentation, begin emergency procedures as needed.

    Registered Nurse: Full-time 7P-7A. Current Missouri license, current ACLS & CPR certification. Good assessment skills, some computer skills, NIH & Stroke educational requirments, works well with others, Good leadership skills. Job Duties include- Triage patients, assess patients, ability to take instructions, assist physicians with procedures, assist all emergencies. Previous experience required.





    Environmental Services
    Housekeeper: Part-time, Days, hours will vary. High School diploma or GED. Ability to read and write, follow simple oral instruction. Must know how to use cleaning devices. Duties: Work closely with others. Cleaning and servicing assigned areas. Perform routine repetitive tasks on continuous basis. Able to stand for long periods of time and requires working on knees at times. Cleaning experience is desitable.




    Laboratory
    Medical Technologist: Full-time, 2P-12A, Board Certification. Must be proficient in instrument maintenance and problem solving. Must be able to multi task. Duties: Work as a generalist in the following areas of Lab: Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood bank. Perform QC and general maintenance, assist in stocking and ordering supplies. Other duties as assigned. Previous experience preferred.




    Nursing - Med/Surg
    CNA: Full-time, 7A-7P. Current Missouri CNA certificate, current CPR. Dependable, trustworthy, enjoys working with people. Some computer skills, good communication, takes direction without difficulty. Job duties include: patient care- bed baths, feeding patients, taking vital signs, charting, I & O's, ambulating patients, communicate patient information to staff nurses. Previous experience required.

    CNA: Full-time, 7P-7A. Current Missouri CNA certificate and BLS. Dependable and trustworthy, enjoys working with people, some computer skills, good communicator, takes direction well. Job duties include Patient care, ambulation of patients, taking vital signs, some charting, communicate patient information to staff nurse, assisting other co-workers with tasks. Previous experience required.

    Registered Nurse: Full-time, 7P-7A. Current Missouri RN license in good standing. Current CPR and ACLS. Good assessment skills, dependable, trustworthy, good communicator, good leadership skills, some computer knowledge. Previous experience required.

Job duties: Physical assessments, documentations, must be willing to train in stress testing, assisting physicians in clinics, being in charge of a particular clinic. Previous experience required.




    Pharmacy Department Director
    Full- time M-F

    Job Summary: Responsible for the planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Pharmacy Department; ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborns to the elderly; directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related substance and supplies; participates in the department’s planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education and human resources activities.

  • Participates in the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee.
  • Participates in the Hospital Quality Assurance program.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health errors.
  • Directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals.
  • Oversees the storage and distribution of all pharmaceuticals items in the department and patient care areas.
  • Directs and participates in the development/revision, implementation and communication of policies, guidelines and standards for the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the hospital’s policies, federal and state regulations.
  • Directs and participates in the human resources management function for the department by coordinating the selection, promotion, orientation and performance appraisal processes.
  • Provides coverage as a staff pharmacist for the department, as necessary.
  • Prepares department budget for personnel, operating expenses and capital equipment, responsible for fiscal operation of the department.
  • Maintains a system of records in accordance with hospital policy for recording patient charges as well as maintaining adequate controls over requisitioning and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintains formularies, information resources and references for preparations.
  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the hospital staff.

  • Regulatory Requirements:
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
  • Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of Missouri
  • Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training
  • Hospital Pharmacy Experience requried
