Respiratory Therapy

This Respiratory Therapy department began in November 1975 by William Moberly with DR. E W Ireland as medical director. It is now staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with 10 and 12 hour shifts. Our team of Respiratory Therapists work in collaboration with the physicians & Nurses at Ray County Memorial Hospital, assisting with the diagnosing, prevention and treatment of pulmonary and other disorders. Our Medical director is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonology. Along with the routine duties of Respiratory therapist, we perform Spirometry and full PFT's utilizing a Vmax system with plethysmography and Niox FeNO. We do Home sleep testing and full PSG,s with Midwestern Sleep, Some of the tools we used are V60,s , Visions, and Vela ventilators, Hill Rom Vest , ISTAT ABG, Nonin Wrist Ox, SleepView, Mazimo, HFNC, and Mac 5500 ECG, ETC. We also set up Holter's, Event recorders, oximetry's, and teach.

Our Hospital is a Beautiful and Growing Critical Access Hospital with a new OR and ten bed ER and Helipad. Our patient rooms are up to date and comfortable, with easy parking in brand new well lit lots. We employee 200+ people and have excellent benefits and insurance.
